| Zoo tempts gay penguins to go straight Ananova [UK] "A German zoo has imported four female penguins from Sweden in an effort to tempt its gay penguins to go straight. The four Swedish females were dispatched to the Bremerhaven Zoo in Bremen after it was found that three of the zoo's five penguin pairs were homosexual. Keepers at the zoo ordered DNA tests to be carried out on the penguins after they had been mating for years without producing any chicks. | hows you like that? penguins don't even follow the "up in the air guy's" mandate of only opposite sex attractions. i think this story should be broadcast on all xtian networks, to let them know that humans aren't so special as they believe. well, humans are special, but not in the sense or level they take it to. |

So, in that vein, I'd just like to take this opportunity to write to all of the "homosexuality is a choice" Christians this well-thought-out statement summing up my feelings about this... "HA! Jon Stewart on the Daily Show did a piece about gay penguins a couple of months ago. They did the get the Christian perspective on the issue and the piece was hysterical.  |

| Since they are importing 4 female Penguins I am guessing that the 3 homosexual pairs are all male. Out of five pairs that means they started with 8 males and 2 females. What did they expect to happen? I would find it very amusing if the 3 gay penguin pairs stayed together and the 2 heterosexual pairs were broken up by the new males and females showing up.  |

The Daily Show skit was older than I thought. The penguin skit was done with my favorite Daily Show correspondent "Samantha Bee" sometime in early 2004. I found references to it on the web, and even searched the downloads on the Daily Show website. I think it may be to old to retrieve. I will keep trying though. It was one of the funniest skits I have every watched on the Daily Show. |

I'm sure they're having another one of their conniptions. We'll probably hear some sort of blither from them shortly. "Jesus" probably "hates" gay penguins as much as he does SpongeBob and Tinky-Winky....  |

It will be interesting to hear recommendations of the "three stooges"...er, uh...three bigots (Pat Roberston, James Dobson and Jerry Falwell)............ regarding the gay penguin "issue". It might also be a good idea to recommend some remedial training for the zoo keepers, since it looks like they didn't quite seem to have the gender of some of the birds figured out for quite a while.
