| <joke>All right gentlemen, here is the official fashion memo. Goatees are out. Period. I don't care how cool you think it looks, it's out, cut that bastard off. Eurobeards are in. The three-day's-growth-look is best maintained by a Wahl trimmer, although other brands are acceptable, provided they do not cut too close. It is moderately acceptable to actually shave once every three or four days, but on those days when you've actually shaved, you must resign yourself to being uncool. There it is... get to trimming, fuckers.</joke> |

| HAHAHAH Men's health has been saying that for at least 5 years, but like most men I wussed out and stuck with what I was familiar with. I shaved mine this May just before my divorce was final, basically thinking 'ok you know it's true, get with the program!' Everyone says I look 5 years younger. |

Fat latino men aren't allowed to go completely shaven. I need at least a dirty-looking mustache or I get kicked out of the club. |

| There is an old euro-cycling superstition that if you shave too close to race day, your skin will be too tight and it will restrict your performance during the race as well as your breathing. Therefore, a lot of cyclists go into race day with 3 or 4 days growth on their faces in order to avoid too much tight skin on their faces. |

If someone doesn't care for my hairy chin and shaved sides, they can go stuff their editorial whine up their paper shredding device.. | Honestly, who cares about what's in fashion or not? As long as it looks good on you. Some guys look good in goatees even when its not fashionable. Some look dorky in them even when it is. Meh. As long as your facial hair suits your features and does not irritate the delicate skin of the partner to whom you give oral, go for it. |

good point I have very sensitive skin I like the scruffy look of a man that goes the weekend without shaving but it gives me a rash I like a smooth clean shaven face best some guys look good in goatees It's all good if they keep it trimmed and if their hair is soft but if they have wirey hair I think they should shave or never expect to kiss or be kissed |

(in one ear and out the other) Yeah. Three days growth suits me best. I love my Wahl Trim-n-vac. I wouldn't want my skin to get too tight, then I might get dropped from the pelaton the next time I race. |

| fuck fashion, I hate those stupid damn pencil thin beards. If your gonna grow a beard grow a fucking beard or don't bother. My goatee stays and if you don't like it your more than welcome to kiss my ass.  My face does not look good at all without either a full beard or at least a goatee. I have a long nose, pointy chin and thin face. Looks stupid without any hair. Looks a bit better with a beard. |

I agree with you, Biggles, and some of the others. If the roles were reversed, I would not want "fashion" indicating to me what I might do to my face. My face belongs to me. To heck with fashion. Wear your hair and your face however you see fit. I think men often look their very best when they think they look the best they can. Confidence is more appealing and more significant than hair, any day. Reach |
