I was "saved" in the summer of 1976. I was just going to start 10th grade when the people who converted me payed my way to a 'Christian Camp" Hume Lake in the Sequioa National Forest, California. It was here that I heard my first preacher. His name was Bill McKee. Not long after that I began attending Lakewood Baptist Church in the city of Downey. This church was pastord by a man named Boar (No pun intended) I attended the High School Ministry at Lakewood Baptist. This group was well attended by 150 to 200 high school students from the surounding community. It was headed up by a man name Randy Sikes. After I left this Church I became associated with "The Geftakys assembly" Run by George Geftakys. I am not lieing when I tell you that all of these men have been kicked out of the ministry. Pastor Boar for adultery, Randy for having sex with the high school girls, Bill Mckee for having sex with the church secretaries at a prominent E.V. Free church. And George for being a Scizo/pedaphile/controle feek/psycho/lunatic. see story http://geftakysassembly.com/Articles/PersonalAccounts/kristin.htm To add to this rouges gallery I will mention preachers I listened to on the radio. Mike Cracorous and David Hocking. And let me not forget to mention Paul Crouch the most addiment enemy of "Homosexuality" has now been exposed for paying his homosexual lover thousands of dollars to keep quiet. What I find ironic about all of this is that all of these men had made it their business to make sure I was not having any "immoral" sex. Funny but the whole time I was a Christian I wasn't having any sex with anyone yet they sure were!!! So what do we learn from all this???? If you are minister you are going to have sex more than the people you preach at? or Sex is normal behavior or ....what???

My stepsister goes to this camp every year. She says it's a lot of fun but it freaks me out that she goes.

We learn that either Gawd looks favorably upon horny preachers, or they know that the whole sin thing is total bullshit, and use their knowledge and status within the church to manipulate kids into allowing them their sick sexual perversions.

Either way you look at, it's fucking sick PageofCupsNono.gif

oh my that's scary. paul crouch exposed, glad to hear of it.

And this from the bottom of the article:
"If Crouch is forced to leave, it could have a huge effect on the world's largest religious television network (and thus global Christianity)."

Translation:
"We must cover Crouch's gay-sex affairs or we stand a good chance of losing our meal ticket. Let's attack the accuser and our followers will not believe him, since the accuser is gay and demon possessed. Paul will overcome this in flying colors; as long as those colors aren't 'too' pastel."

Whoa..... I was born in '76....

Anyway, I see this as standard for xian preachers. Say one thing, do another. You know the old saw about how power corrupts? Well, the sheeple trust their preachers. This gives the preacher power over them. And when someone has power and authority, they start thinking they can get away with things. And when someone feels they can get away with something, and chooses to try to do so, they usually act out whatever desire(s) are both strongly felt and rarely expressed.

We talk about the things that are on our minds, right?

Doesn't it follow that a preacher most often preaches about the things that are nearest and dearest his heart? Of course!

Methinks he doth protest too much... and lets the cat out of the bag regarding his obsession with sex and sexuality.

Yes I think it shows us that Church government needs to be structured in a way other than giving the preacher "rock star" status but then would anyone attend?

I agree, David. Church government needs to be structured in a way that serves to educate the governed, protects those so governed and holds that very same government accountable for its actions.

What a pipe dream!

The reality is, too often, that the catotonic western church is more inclined to demand an entertainer for a preacher. Buyer, beware!

Nihil, I'm sure you've heard of the infamous Jim Jones.
