There has been a lot of talk going on recently about womens orgasms and what not, so I thought I'd share a wonderful little anatomical tidbit I learned a few years back.

Most people think that the clitoris is the little pleasure button that sits proudly atop the vulva. That's only half right.

Actually the clitoris in most women is 5 to 7 inches long and snakes up just behind the pubic bone and into the lower abdomen. And it's sensative the whole way up. This is one of the reasons (the G-spot is another) why rear-entry sex can be very pleasurable if it's done right - you're actually bumping the clitoris from inside the vagina. But what can be more interesting is squeezing the pubis from either side, very gently, and working up and down. It's a different sensation from having the little button rubbed, and feels (I'm told) like it's coming from deep deep inside the vagina. It takes a while for the tension to mount, but it is very possible (and quite fun) to give a lady a quivering explosive orgasm just by massaging her lower abdomen and pubis just right.

Thought you all might be interested.

That reminds me...I have to go find Kitty

7 inches? Can you imagine if it uncoiled on you while giving face and choked you up?

I guess that makes sense, since the clitoris is the part that evolves to be a penis in a male.

I'm with Matt; pictures, man! I need to know where this "magic wand" is!

It runs under the pubic bone parallel to the vagina and about 3/4 of the way up to the belly button at varying depths. It's internal, so no pictures unless you want me to dissect a cadaver (and I'm really not into that).

The American Medical Association's family medical encyclopedia is a wealth of information. And they've got *awesome* diagrams.

If it weren't for the AMA, I'd have been utterly clueless about sex, considering how sex ed was mostly a discussion of STDs, we didn't have the internet, my parents were darn near useless, turning into weirdly incoherent zombies anytime I asked a question about sex...

I saw this on the http://www.babeland.com/salon/howto03.html#clitpump site. I guess clit pumping is popular among some lesbians.

Yes, Lokmer.

Perhaps this isn't commonly known either. The orgasms achieved during pregnancy are much more intense than the "average," for the reasons you state in addition to the fact that the uterus contracts during orgasm. An extended uterus bearing a growing baby is a lot more surface area to contract and the woman gets to enjoy this increased pleasure progressively.

Who said being pregnant was no fun? The greater the size of the uterus, the greater the orgasm. After childbirth? Just what you said, Lokmer.

I'd heard that pregnant women are very horny during their 9 months. Is it true that it's ix nay on sex in the third trimester? Or is that just an urban legend of sorts?

My sister who is a pretty uptight prude was very ashamed of her "passionate dreams" about men in general during her first trimester.

Ixnay on the sex the first 6 weeks after a vaginal birth, because the vaginal walls are still healing.

As far as the last trimester, I think that depends on the mother - I've heard of some who kept up the sex pretty much till they were in labor, and others who were so sick from morning sickness that they quick having sex shortly after getting pregnant.

Ahh...okay. I knew about the six weeks after delivery. I mean, hell, like you'd want ANYTHING in there at that point.

Sex gets complicated after about the 6th month. You have this huge stomach, making it hard for normal positions, and your balance is off, making it difficult for woman on top, plus the increased weight doesn't help in that department. The biginniing part of prenancy was similar to normal me. But after that, my boobs got weird, and unsexual, and I got huge, and uncomfortable. I could always please him, or have him take care of me, but actual intercourse just got complicated.

Btw, 4 kids.

there's a thought. Though there are some women whose clit's extend a good way outward. There's this one woman, Denise Masino. She's a bodybuilder, but before you attribute it to that, she isn't on steroids, and I have seen pictures of her prior to that lifestyle, and I can say that she's truthful when she says it has always been big. When I say big, I mean, as long as my thumb, and nearly as thick. Man, what I could do to a woman with an, ummm, extention that big. she probably can only wear silk undies, to cut down on friction. Like, wow, heh.

With regards to sex and pregnancy, some women have sex as they begin to go into labor. Obviously, this can't be donein hospitals, but is somewhat common in homebirths.
