"Marcel-Keyes told the Post her parents have thrown her out of the house, stopped speaking to her and refuse to pay for college because she is gay."

So much for hating the sin and loving the sinner.

I didn't see any replies to this so I figured it might have to do with the fact that people may not know who Alan Keyes is.

He's a rabid right-wing Republican. He ran for president of the United States in 2000. He has also run for senator of Maryland (his residence); and Illinois (carpet bagging).

He's an uptight moral theocrat, who condemned VP Cheney's lesbian daughter in 2004.

Oh, the sweet irony of seeing this puritan windbag having to deal with the realities of life; instead of living in his world of make believe.

I remember that. Keyes has been quite fond of spouting off about this often and pointing the finger at others.

Sweeeeeeet irony, indeed!

Same with Randall Terry, founder of Operation Rat Spew....oops, Rescue. His adopted son came out not too long ago.

Makes me wonder if he wishes he hadn't strong-armed his son's biological mother into "choosing life." GONZ9729CustomImage1539775.gif

I love it when this happens. Anything to get under the skin of fundies like Keyes. Several years ago, a friend of mine, who was the principal at a Christian church school, went through a rough time. His wife was caught fooling around with a male co-worker 20 years younger than her, his oldest son, who went to the church school all 12 years, was arrested for breaking and entering and theft, and spent about a year in jail. I didn't gloat, but I did ask him if he still wanted to invite me to church.
